Noah Garcia Dies in Car Accident on Cathedral Canyon Drive [Cathedral City, CA]
19-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near 33rd Avenue
CATHEDRAL CITY, CA (April 25, 2024) – Tuesday evening, Noah Garcia died, and five were injured in a car accident on Cathedral Canyon Drive.
Dispatchers received calls in the area around 9:21 p.m., near the intersection of 33rd Avenue and Corral Road.
Per reports, the driver of a speeding northbound vehicle collided with a car attempting to make a southbound left turn. The impact sent the first vehicle in a north direction before crashing into two mailboxes and two parked vehicles.
Consequently, responding paramedics rushed the driver of the first vehicle to Desert Regional Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department Coroner’s Bureau later identified the deceased driver as 19-year-old Noah Garcia.
Meanwhile, Garcia’s passengers – identified as a male juvenile, a female juvenile, a 20-year-old woman, and a 21-year-old woman – sustained injuries from the incident.
Furthermore, the driver of the second vehicle remained unharmed, however, their passenger received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. All five patients were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
Officials are asking anyone who witnessed the fatal two-vehicle crash to contact the Cathedral City Police Department at 760-770-0300. Once available, further details will be provided.
