Two 19-Year-Olds Fatally Injured in Head-On Collision near Castle Hot Springs Road

PEORIA, AZ (April 25, 2024) – Saturday evening, Nivesh Mukka and Goutham Parsi were killed in a head-on collision on State Route 74.

The incident occurred around 6:15 p.m., near Castle Hot Springs Road on April 20th.

Officers say the driver of a northbound red Ford F-150 pickup-truck collided head-on with a southbound white Kia Forte sedan.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced two passengers inside the Kia Forte, 19-year-old Mukka and 19-year-old Parsi, both from India dead at the scene. They were enrolled as international students at Arizona State University.

Meanwhile, the sole occupant of the truck suffered serious injuries. Although, police have not yet released their identity.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the head-on collision on SR-74. Police have not disclosed whether speed or impairment contributed to the crash.
