77-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Crash near Mission Road
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 25, 2024) – Tuesday evening, a hit-and-run crash on Plaza Del Sol claimed the life of Jose Dorado.
The fatal collision happened around 8:05 p.m., at the intersection of Plaza del Sol and Mission Road.
According to the LAPD, the driver of a vehicle traveling south on Mission Road struck a male pedestrian for reasons unknown.
Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim or contacting police.
Responding medical personnel arrived shortly after and declared the male victim dead at the scene. Authorities later identified the deceased pedestrian as 77-year-old Jose Dorado.
At this time, the police have not released any additional information regarding the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle. The LAPD is asking those who witnessed the fatal hit-and-run to contact (877) 527-3247.
