Anastasia Dombrowski Dead, Harrison Ward Arrested after Wrong-Way Crash on Recker Road [Gilbert, AZ]
20-Year-Old Killed, 23-Year-Old Charged after Wrong Way Collision on Williams Field Road
GILBERT, AZ (April 25, 2024) – Thursday morning, Anastasia Dombrowski died Harrison Ward was arrested after a wrong-way crash on Recker Road.
Around 2:00 a.m., police officers responded to the scene near Williams Field Road on April 18th.
Reports state that Dombrowski was driving a sedan when a speeding pickup-truck, driven by 23-year-old Ward, collided with her.
Following the collision, Ward’s pickup-truck swerved to the right, impacting a light pole before continuing eastward until it came to a halt just past the intersection.
Due to the impact of the crash, 20-year-old Dombrowski succumbed to her severe injuries at the scene.
Meanwhile, Ward sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital. Following his release from the hospital, authorities booked Ward into jail on charges of second-degree murder and aggravated DUI.
Responding authorities closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
