Woman Dies in Pedestrian Accident on Pine Boulevard [Pine Valley, CA]
61-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck by Pickup-Truck in Pedestrian Crash near Rocky Pass
PINE VALLEY, CA (April 24, 2024) – Saturday morning, one woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on Pine Boulevard.
Authorities responded to the scene on the northbound lanes of the road, just south of Rocky Pass around 11:00 a.m., on April 13th.
Per reports, the 36-year-old male driver of a 2016 Ford F-550 was heading north. For reasons under investigation, the driver veered off the road and struck the woman who was walking along the shoulder at the time.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced the 61-year-old female pedestrian dead at the scene. The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office has not yet identified the deceased woman.
Emergency personnel shut down the surrounding roadway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
During clearing operations, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Police officers do not suspect alcohol or drugs to be a factor in the fatal pedestrian accident on Pine Boulevard. Further investigation is still currently underway.
