Marlon Daniels Arrested after Fatal DUI Crash near Estate Hill Drive
SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 24, 2024) – Wednesday night, Vanesa Ramos and Solumen Lopez were killed in pedestrian collision on Stone Oak Parkway.
The incident took place at the 20500 block of Stone Oak Parkway around 8:00 p.m., on April 3rd.
According to the San Antonio Police officers, Ramos was walking with 5-year-old Lopez in a stroller in a marked crosswalk. There, the driver of a speeding vehicle crashed into them.
Responding paramedics pronounced both 39-year-old Ramos and Lopez dead at the scene.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area during clearing operations.
During preliminary duties, authorities evaluated the driver and determined that he was intoxicated while driving. Police eventually detained the suspect, 56-year-old Marlon Daniels. He is now facing two counts of intoxication manslaughter.
