22-Year-Old Man Charged, 2 Hurt after DUI Collision near Brundage Lane

BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 24, 2024) – Tuesday night, Sonnie Valencia was arrested for DUI after injuring two people on Union Avenue.

Just before 10:00 p.m., officers responded to the scene near Brundage Lane on April 16th.

Per reports, Valencia was driving in the area and struck another vehicle, injuring two of its occupants. Valencia also sustained injuries himself.

Emergency personnel shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Officers later arrested 22-year-old Sonnie Jacob Valencia for suspicion of driving under the influence.
