Anthony Knox Arrested, Multiple Injured in 5-Vehicle Speeding Crash on Peoria Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]
22-Year-Old Suspect Charged, Three Hurt in Multi-Vehicle Speeding Collision near 28th Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (April 23, 2024) – Saturday, Anthony Knox was arrested and multiple were hurt in a speeding crash on Peoria Avenue.
Per reports from the Phoenix Police Department, officers noticed a vehicle traveling recklessly at a high rate of speed. When the suspect noticed the patrol vehicle, he quickly sped away.
Shortly after, the suspect crashed into multiple vehicles near the old Metrocenter on Peoria Avenue near 28th Avenue. A patrol officer then swerved in attempt to avoid a collision, and struck a child who ran into the roadway.
Investigators say the child exited one of the vehicles that was involved in the collision. Medics transported the child to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries. In addition, two other men also sustained injuries.
Following preliminary duties, officers arrested and booked Knox into jail, while they detained the others who attempted to flee the scene.
