52-Year-Old Beaumont Woman Killed, Two Injured in Auto Collision near McDermand Road

JEFFERSON COUNTY, TX (April 17, 2024) – Monday evening, Quintella Zenon was killed and Ashley Jarrosay was hurt in a 2-car crash on US 90.

The incident occurred shortly after 6:00 p.m., on U.S. Highway 90, just west of McDermand Road on April 8th.

Officers say 36-year-old Jarrosay was driving a westbound Toyota Highlander. Meanwhile, Zenon was driving an eastbound Chevrolet Camaro toward Old Nome Road.

For reasons under investigation, Zenon failed to yield while the Toyota was turning east onto Highway 90. As a result, the Toyota struck the driver’s side of the Chevrolet.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced 52-year-old Zenon dead at the scene. In addition, medical responders transported Jarrosay and one child passenger to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Investigators also say both Zenon and Jarrosay reside in Beaumont.

Emergency personnel shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided on the crash on US 90.
