Yonathan Pubillones Killed in Speeding Motorcycle Crash on Potranco Road [San Antonio, TX]
21-Year-Old Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after Speeding Collision near Highway 151
SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 16, 2024) – Thursday evening, Yonathan Pubillones was killed in a speeding motorcycle crash on Potranco Road.
Authorities responded to the 8300 block of Potranco Road near Highway 151 around 7:50 p.m., on April 4th.
Officers say Pubillones was riding an eastbound motorcycle at a high rate of speed. The rider eventually collided with a westbound gray Chevrolet Impala that was turning in front of the motorcyclist.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced 21-year-old Pubillones dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the 37-year-old male driver of the Chevy stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. No charges are expected to be filed.
Emergency personnel shut down the surrounding road for a brief time during clearing operations. At this time, further events leading up to the incident remain unclear. However, an active investigation to determine more details is still currently underway.
