Patricia Lopez, Clara Howells, Angeles Escoto and Francis Catano Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on McHenry Avenue [Del Rio, CA]
4 Pronounced Dead after Head-On Collision near Hougue Road
DEL RIO, CA (April 15, 2024) – Tuesday afternoon, Patricia Lopez, Clara Howells, Angeles Escoto, and Francis Catano were killed in a crash.
California Highway Patrol officers responded to the scene on McHenry Avenue and Hogue Road around 4:00 p.m.
Per reports, the driver of a Mitsubishi sedan veered into the oncoming lanes and collided head-on with a Toyota SUV.
Responding medics declared one of the involved drivers and their male passenger in the front seat deceased at the scene.
Later, the authorities identified the deceased driver as 19-year-old Escoto. Escoto’s male passenger was identified as 23-year-old Catano.
At the same time, paramedics transported the driver of the Toyota and the infant passenger to a hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.
The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office identified the two deceased occupants of the Toyota as 60-year-old Patricia Lopez of Turlock and 20-month-old infant, Clara Howells.
Officials will provide more information regarding the fatal head-on crash once available.
