48-Year-Old Woman and 46-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after 2-Car Crash near Texarcana

MILLER COUNTY, TX (April 15, 2024) – Tuesday evening, Natasha Brewer and Jason Foster were killed in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 59.

Authorities responded to the scene around 10:00 p.m., about four miles south of Texarcana on March 19th.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the incident involved a Kia Telluride SUV driven by 48-year-old Brewer and a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV driven by 46-year-old Foster.

Investigators say Brewer was heading south while Foster was traveling in the northbound lanes. For reasons under investigation, Brewer crossed into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with Foster.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 48-year-old Brewer, of Texarcana and 46-year-old Foster, of Tyler dead at the scene.

Emergency personnel shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during clearing operations. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided.
