52-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Crash near La Cuenta Drive
SAN DEIGO, CA (April 11, 2024) – Wednesday afternoon, a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on Tierrasanta Boulevard killed a male pedestrian.
Around 12:25 p.m., police responded to the 10791 block of Tierrasanta Boulevard near La Cuenta Drive in a shopping center parking lot.
According to police, the driver of an unknown vehicle hit the man and left the victim lying on the ground in the exit lane of the parking lot. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, first responders declared the male pedestrian dead at the scene.
Emergency crews shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during clearing operations. At this time, further events leading up to the incident remain unclear.
Police have not released additional information regarding the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle. The San Diego Traffic Division is currently leading the ongoing investigation.
