1 Killed in DUI Collision on Coors Boulevard Southwest [Albuquerque, NM]
Victim Pronounced Dead after DUI Accident near Sevilla Avenue
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (April 11, 2024) – Wednesday evening, one victim was killed in a DUI collision on Coors Boulevard Southwest.
According to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, crews arrived to the scene and found two vehicles with heavy damage after receiving multiple dispatch calls.
Investigators say the driver of a red F-150 truck was traveling at high rates of speed and crashed into another vehicle between Arenal and Blake Road.
Medical personnel arrived and transported one of the involved drivers to a nearby hospital where they later succumbed to their injuries. Authorities have not yet released their identity.
Meanwhile, the suspect driver smelled of alcohol and was evaluated with a breath analyzer. The driver was found to be exceeding twice the legal limit.
