63-Year-Old Camarillo Woman Dead after Solo-Vehicle Crash near Pacific Coast Highway

MALIBU, CA (April 10, 2024) – Late Wednesday afternoon, Tracy Vancura was killed in a car accident on Malibu Canyon Road.

Around 5:30 p.m., police responded to the scene near Pacific Coast Highway and Pepperdine University.

At this time, the cause of the incident remains unclear. However, authorities claimed that a car tumbled down an embankment at least 150 feet, off a winding road.

Responding medical personnel declared the female driver dead at the scene. Later, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner identified the deceased woman as 63-year-old Tracy Vancura of Camarillo. 

Officials blocked the Malibu Canyon Road, just north of Piuma Road for at least five hours as crews investigated the scene. Once available, more details will be provided about the fatal car accident on Malibu Canyon Road.
