1-Year-Old Child Killed in SUV Accident near Broadway Road

PHOENIX, AZ (April 10, 2024) – Sunday afternoon, Legend Hayes was fatally struck in an SUV collision on 48th Street.

Authorities responded to the scene around 3:00 p.m., near Broadway Road on April 7th.

Reports suggest that upon returning from an errand, a family member of Hayes moved the SUV, inadvertently colliding with the toddler on the property. Additionally, authorities mention that the driver had spotted Hayes inside the house before shifting the vehicle.

The toddler, identified as 1-year-old Hayes, sustained fatal injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
