30-Year-Old Man Killed, 30-Year-Old Man Arrested after Hit-and-Run Accident near Allday Drive
HOUSTON, TX (April 10, 2024) – Bayron Xitamul died Saturday, and Cesar Cerrato-Oliva was arrested after a hit-and-run on Sands Point Drive.
The incident happened around 6:20 a.m., at 8100 block of Sands Point Drive near Allday Drive on April 6th.
According to reports, 30-year-old Cerrato-Oliva hit Xitamul with his Ford F-150 gray pickup-truck. It appears that the truck driver ran over the victim twice before fleeing the apartment complex east on Sands Point Drive.
Upon arrival, authorities pronounced 30-year-old Xitamul dead.
Following preliminary duties, authorities located the suspect vehicle that was stolen. Officers conducted a traffic stop and detained three men without resistance. Police eventually arrested Cerrato-Oliva, who faces charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
An active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided about the fatal hit-and-run crash on Sands Point Drive.
