Huy Nguyen Truong Killed in Red-Light 5-Vehicle Collision on Audubon Drive [Fresno, CA]
20-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Multi-Vehicle Collision on Friant Road
FRESNO, CA (April 9, 2024) – Sunday evening, Huy Nguyen Truong was killed in a red-light 5-vehicle collision on Audubon Drive.
Shortly after 9:00 p.m., police officers responded to the scene near Friant Road.
For reasons under investigation, Truong drove his southbound vehicle through a red light. As a result, Truong’s vehicle collided with another car that was traveling through the intersection.
Amidst the chaos, reports indicate that Truong also struck three other vehicles that were stopped at the intersection.
Medical personnel arrived and transported 20-year-old Truong, of Fresno to a nearby hospital. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, Truong later passed away at the hospital.
It is still unclear whether or not the other parties involved sustained any injuries.
Police officers closed off the surrounding roadway for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Authorities do not currently suspect alcohol or drugs to have been a factor in the deadly collision.
Those who witnessed the fatal multi-vehicle crash are encouraged to contact the Fresno Officials as soon as possible. Once available, further details will be provided about the fatal car accident on Audubon Drive. At this time, an active investigation is still currently underway.
