Jesus Martinez-Goana Killed, 1 Hurt in Fiery Collision on 83rd Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]
21-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Fiery Car Accident near Thomas Road
PHOENIX, AZ (April 8, 2024) – Friday night, Jesus Martinez-Goana was killed in a fiery car accident on 83rd Avenue.
Phoenix firefighters responded to the scene around 8:30 p.m., near the intersection of 83rd Avenue and Thomas Road on April 5th.
Reports indicate that 21-year-old Martinez-Goana was driving west on the road at a high rate of speed. Shortly after, the westbound vehicle collided with an SUV that was attempting to turn onto 83rd Avenue.
The impact pushed Martinez-Goana’s vehicle into a tree, causing it to burst into flames. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced Martinez-Goana deceased at the scene. Investigators say he was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV sustained minor injuries. Although, police have not yet released their name or place of residency.
Emergency personnel shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. No further details regarding the fiery crash near 83rd Avenue have been disclosed to the public. Police will provide more information once available.
