48-Year-Old Woman Killed in Pedestrian Collision near Irvington Avenue

TUCSON, AZ (April 4, 2024) – Thursday evening, one woman was pronounced dead after a pedestrian accident on 6th Avenue.

The Tucson Police Department arrived at the scene before 9:00 p.m. near Laos Transit Center, at 205 West Irvington Road on March 28th.

Investigators say the 38-year-old pedestrian crossed the unmarked crosswalk on the west side of the intersection, disregarding the HAWK beacon and marked crosswalk on the east side, while witnesses described the pedestrians running into and across the roadway.

Authorities confirmed the driver of the Ram as a 31-year-old woman. The driver remained and cooperated with the investigation.

TPD arrived at the scene and declared the pedestrian deceased. The victim’s identity remains undisclosed by authorities.
