Liseth Miranda Dies in 3-Vehicle Crash on Ashe Road [Bakersfield, CA]
23-Year-Old Bakersfield Woman Killed in Three-Vehicle Collision near Harris Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 4, 2024) – Late Wednesday afternoon, a 3-vehicle crash on Ashe Road took the life of Liseth Miranda.
Police officers responded to the scene around 4:54 p.m., near Harris Road on March 27th after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a westbound Volkswagen veered into the eastbound lanes. As a result, the driver collided head-on with a red Honda and a black Mini Cooper, both going in the opposite direction.
Responding medical personnel transported a female patient to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. Two other people were also hospitalized for further treatment of minor injuries.
The Kern County Coroner’s Office later identified the deceased woman as 23-year-old Liseth Miranda, of Bakersfield.
Police said the driver of the Volkswagen stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Investigators do not suspect intoxication to be a factor in the collision.
Emergency personnel shut down the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, more details will be provided about the fatal crash.
The loved ones of Miranda started a GoFundMe page to help with the funeral expenses.
