Nine Hospitalized after Metro-Bus Crash near Bronson Avenue in Leimert Park
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 2, 2024) – Thursday afternoon, 14 victims sustained injuries in a metro-bus collision on West 39th Street.
Around 3:40 p.m., police responded to the 3500 block of West 39th Street near Bronson Avenue in Leimert Park.
For reasons under investigation, at least five vehicles were involved, including a minivan, a sedan, and a metro bus. First responders also discovered an overturned SUV and a cargo van in the wreckage.
Paramedics transported at least nine victims to a nearby hospital for further treatment of various injuries. Meanwhile, five other patients declined further medical assistance.
At this time, the circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear. Firefighters and emergency personnel cleared the area as the incident also blocked several lanes of Crenshaw Boulevard.
