Two Pronounced Dead after Pickup vs Car Collision near East Parlier Avenue
FRESNO, CA (March 28, 2024) – Monday afternoon, a driver and a passenger were killed in a two-vehicle crash on Buttonwillow Avenue.
Around 3:30 p.m., police responded to the scene near East Parlier Avenue after receiving multiple calls.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of an eastbound Ford Focus failed to stop at a posted stop sign. As a result, the Ford Focus struck a Ford truck that was traveling through the intersection.
Emergency personnel used hydraulic-powered tools to extricate the two occupants inside the Ford Focus. Despite life-saving efforts, the 58-year-old male passenger succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Meanwhile, medical personnel transported the 40-year-old female driver to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
