Male Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Tow-Truck Collision near Farm to Market Road 1187

FORT WORTH, TX (March 26, 2024) – Early Sunday morning, one man was fatally struck while waiting for a tow-truck on Interstate 20.

Officers responded to the scene around 6:30 a.m., near Farm to Market Road 1187.

A preliminary investigation revealed that there had been a minor crash between a vehicle and a semi-truck.

Both drivers were exchanging information before one of the drivers was standing outside of his vehicle waiting for a tow-truck. There, the driver of a passing vehicle struck the male pedestrian.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released his identity.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Those with further information regarding the collision on Interstate 20 are encouraged to contact local authorities as soon as possible.
