20-Year-Old Victim Pronounced Dead after Auto Collision near Slide Road
LUBBOCK, TX (March 25, 2024) – Late Saturday night, Mirely Ordaz was fatally injured in a car accident on 114th Street.
Authorities responded to the scene around 11:30 p.m., at the 5200 block of 114th Street near Slide Road.
Per reports, Ordaz was ejected from a moving vehicle and suffered life-threatening injuries. Paramedics arrived and transported 20-year-old Ordaz to University Medical Center for further treatment.
Following preliminary duties, it remains unclear whether she exited the vehicle voluntarily or was forced out. In addition, the involved driver was not located.
