62-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Accident near Mountain View Road
GLENDALE, AZ (March 25, 2024) – Early Sunday morning, Martin Hawkins was killed in a hit-and-run motorcycle collision on 67th Avenue.
Police officers responded to the scene around 6:30 p.m., near Mountain View Road, just north of Olive Avenue on March 21st.
Reports indicate that the driver of an unknown vehicle struck Hawkins as he was riding a motorcycle in the area.
Paramedics transported 62-year-old Hawkins to a hospital where he was on life support before he later passed away, as confirmed by his wife, Caserina Hawkins.
Following preliminary duties, officers located the suspect who fled the scene, and took him to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Investigators are currently examining the circumstances surrounding the accident but have ruled out impairment as a contributing factor.
