22-Year-Old Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision near Sunnyside Drive
BEAUMONT, TX (March 25, 2024) – Late Wednesday afternoon, a motorcycle crash on College Street killed Joseph Paul Richardson.
Dispatchers received calls around 4:10 p.m., at the 5000 block of College Street near Sunnyside Drive on March 13th.
Investigators say the driver of an eastbound vehicle veered into the westbound lanes and struck the westbound rider who was traveling at a high rate of speed.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 22-year-old Richardson deceased at the scene. Meanwhile, the male driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided.
