Female Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near East Pacheco Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 21, 2024) – Thursday evening, one woman was killed in a pedestrian accident on Cottonwood Road.
Dispatchers received calls around 7:35 p.m., at the 4700 block of Cottonwood Road near East Pacheco Road.
Investigators say the driver of a northbound white pickup-truck hit a woman who was walking in an easterly direction. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the female pedestrian dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Bakersfield Officials closed the north and southbound lanes of Cottonwood Road for clearing operations.
