53-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Fiery Collision near Mile Marker 861

VIDOR, TX (March 21, 2024) – Late Monday morning, Dolores Munoz was killed in a fiery car accident on Interstate 10.

Authorities responded to the scene around 11:15 a.m., near Mile Marker 861 on March 11th.

Officers say James Wyatt was driving a 2021 Dodge Ram 1500 and collided with a 2016 Dodge Ram 2500, driven by Javier Munoz on the eastbound lanes. A 2023 Nissan Murrano also became involved.

Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced a passenger inside the 2016 Dodge Ram, 53-year-old Dolores Munoz, dead at the scene. In addition, crews also pronounced 60-year-old Wyatt, of Orange deceased on scene.

Meanwhile, paramedics took Javier to St. Elizabeth Hospital in critical condition.

The Nissan occupants were treated for minor injuries at the hospital, but their identities remain undisclosed. No further details regarding the I-10 crash have been disclosed to the public. Police will provide more information once available.
