24-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Bay Hill Drive

TERELL, TX (March 20, 2024) – Early Sunday morning, Otavius Demond Rose was killed in a pedestrian crash on Interstate 20.

The incident occurred around 12:40 a.m., at the 200 block of westbound Interstate 20 near Bay Hill Drive on March 17th.

Officers say the driver of an unknown vehicle struck Desmond who was standing in the road. First responders located 24-year-old Desmond with serious injuries before he was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Further investigation is currently ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Officer S.W. Johns at 469-474-2656 or via email at sjohns@terrell.gov.
