57-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident near Bradbury Lane

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (March 20, 2024) – Early Monday morning, Norma Solon was fatally struck in a pedestrian collision on Heil Avenue. 

Around 6:30 a.m., police responded to the scene near Bradbury Lane.

According to reports, the driver of a white 2014 Mazda 6 struck a pedestrian who was possibly attempting to feed ducks outside of a marked crosswalk. 

Responding medical personnel declared the woman dead at the scene. Huntington Beach officials later identified the deceased victim as 57-year-old Norma Solon. 

Meanwhile, the 61-year-old man driving the Mazda remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. 

Based on the initial investigation, a second vehicle described as a white SUV, may have been involved in the collision as well. 

At this time, the Huntington Beach Police Department is asking those who witnessed the fatal pedestrian crash to contact Traffic Investigator C. Houlston at (714) 536-5670.
