66-Year-Old Oxnard Man Dead in Minivan Vs. Motorcycle Collision in Ventura County
OJAI, CA (March 20, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, a two-vehicle crash on Highway 33 north of Ojai claimed the life of a male motorcyclist.
The CHP responded to the fatal collision around 12:15 p.m. along the stretch of 33 Freeway, near milepost marker 32.70.
Based on the initial investigation, a 2017 Dodge Caravan crossed the southbound lanes and struck a 2020 Yamaha motorcycle.
Subsequently, the Caravan went off the road and down a hill, leaving the driver and the two passengers with minor injuries. Officials identified the driver of the van as a 34-year-old woman from Fillmore.
Meanwhile, despite the life-saving efforts of the first responders, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene. At this time, the officials only identified the victim as a 66-year-old man from Oxnard.
Additionally, the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
