Jay Groth Dies in Bicycle Accident on Cook Street [Palm Desert, CA]
64-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Collision near Country Club Drive
PALM DESERT, CA (March 20, 2024) – Tuesday evening, a bicycle accident on Cook Street claimed the life of Jay Groth.
The incident occurred around 7:31 p.m., near Country Club Drive.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a vehicle struck a male bicyclist in the area. First responders located the unresponsive rider down on the road with significant injuries.
Paramedics transported the victim to Desert Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The Riverside County Coroner’s Office later identified the deceased man as 62-year-old Jay Groth of Indio.
