Driver Pronounced Dead after High-Speed Collision on Sevilla Avenue Northwest

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (March 20, 2024) – Saturday, Isaiah Sena was arrested after fatally striking another driver on Coors Boulevard Northwest.

First responders arrived to the scene near Sevilla Avenue Northwest on March 9th.

According to the Albuquerque Police Department, a Ford Mustang driven by 20-year-old Sena was traveling at high speeds in the northbound lanes of Coors Boulevard when he passed another vehicle.

Sena then ran a red light at the intersection and struck a black Ford Edge that was traveling through a green light. Upon impact, both vehicles spun out causing injuries to both Sena and the driver of the Ford.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the male driver of the Ford dead at the scene.

Paramedics transported Sena to a nearby hospital and charged him with reckless driving and homicide. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided.
