Esteban Coronado and Joseph Martin Arrested after Fatal DUI Crash on Interstate 15 [San Diego, CA]
2 Pronounced Dead after Three-Vehicle Collision near Miramar Way
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 20, 2024) – Saturday morning, Esteban Coronado and Joseph Martin were arrested after a fatal DUI crash on Interstate 15.
Authorities responded to the scene around 2:43 a.m., on the northbound lanes of the freeway near Miramar Way.
Upon arrival, officers determined that the driver of a Honda Civic rear-ended a Toyota 4-Runner. Shortly after, the Honda was struck by a Chevrolet Colorado, leaving two passengers from inside the Honda with fatal injuries.
The identities of the deceased victims remain undisclosed to the public at this time.
Following preliminary duties, officers arrested 25-year-old Esteban Coronado, of Escondido and 22-year-old Joseph Michael Martin, of Sun City for DUI. Police booked both Coronado and Martin into the San Diego County Jail.
