Dual-Car Collision in Pacific Coast Highway Left Female Driver Dead
MALIBU, CA (March 19, 2024) – Thursday evening, a two-vehicle crash near Mulholland Drive left a female driver dead and two other people hurt.
Police responded to the incident around 9:45 p.m. along Pacific Coast Highway, near Mulholland Drive and Leo Carrillo State Beach.
According to California Highway Patrol, a northbound Honda CRV veered into the southbound lanes for unknown reasons.
Consequently, the Honda hit a parked Toyota Yaris before crashing into a power pole and rolling down an embankment.
The first responders declared the female driver deceased at the scene. However, her name remains undisclosed to the public, pending notification from the next of kin.
Meanwhile, the two people occupying the parked Toyota suffered minor injuries. At this time, the police are working to determine whether alcohol or drugs contributed to the incident.
