69-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Collision near South 2nd Avenue
TUCSON, AZ (March 19, 2024) – Early Sunday morning, David Vance Selix was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on East 22nd Street.
Dispatchers received calls around 2:30 a.m., near South 2nd Avenue on March 10th.
According to reports, the driver of a vehicle struck Selix as he was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk. Medics arrived and pronounced 69-year-old Selix dead at the scene.
Following preliminary duties, officers described the suspect vehicle as a silver 2016 – 2019 Chevrolet Cruze.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided.
