Elizabeth Aguilar Sanchez Killed, 5 Injured in Head-On Accident on Joaquin Miller Road [Oakland, CA]
25-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Wrong-Way Collision near Crane Way
OAKLAND, CA (March 14, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, Elizabeth Aguilar Sanchez died and five others were injured in a head-on car accident.
The fatal collision happened around 4:59 a.m., at the 3400 block of Joaquin Miller Road near Crane Way.
Based on the initial investigation, the driver of a southbound Infiniti sedan veered into the northbound lanes. As a result, the red Infiniti collided head-on with an oncoming brown Honda SUV.
Responding medical personnel declared the rear passenger of the Honda deceased at the scene. The coroner’s office later identified the deceased woman as 25-year-old Sanchez, of Oakland.
Five other people from the two vehicles were transported to area hospitals where they remain in stable condition.
At this time, Oakland Officials are asking those who witnessed the fatal crash to contact the investigation unit at 510-777-8570. Once available, further details will be provided.
