Two Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Accident near 51st Avenue

GLENDALE, AZ (March 12, 2024) – Saturday night, Tyler Hugon and Tess Collins were killed in a hit-and-run crash on Glendale Avenue.

Authorities responded to the scene shortly after 7:20 p.m., near 51st Avenue.

At this time, the events leading up to the incident remain under investigation. However, reports indicate that six vehicles collided, and the driver responsible fled the scene on foot.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 18-year-old Hugon and 18-year-old Collins dead at the scene.

Following preliminary duties, officers located 20-year-old Dieudonne Ushindi at his residence and took him into custody.
