54-Year-Old Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident near Juan Balli Road

PHARR, TX (March 7, 2024) – Tuesday evening, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash on Cage Boulevard.

Authorities responded to the scene around 7:30 p.m., at the 5800 block of South Cage Boulevard near Juan Balli Road.

Per reports, the driver of a vehicle struck a 54-year-old man in the area. Upon impact, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced the male pedestrian dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released his identity.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.

At this time, the total number of injuries from the crash remains unclear. No further details are public at this time; however, more information will be provided once made available.
