Christopher Brasket Injured, Jace Haro Arrested after Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Highway 101 [San Luis Obispo, CA]
DUI Collision near Prado Road Left 45-Year-Old Man Dead
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (March 7, 2024) – Late Saturday night, Christopher Brasket was involved in a deadly pedestrian crash on Highway 101.
The fatal collision happened around 11:46 p.m. along the northbound lanes of the highway, just north of Prado Road.
According to CHP, a Dodge Challenger drifted onto the right shoulder of the roadway while traveling north.
Consequently, the Challenger crashed into a light pole and hit two people in a nearby encampment.
The first responders declared one of the victims, identified as a 45-year-old man, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, 52-year-old Christopher Brasket complained about receiving arm pain from the collision.
In the end, the officers arrested the Dodge driver, 21-year-old Jace Haro of SLO, for felony DUI. Haro was booked in San Luis Obispo County Jail and made bail as of Monday morning.
At this time, the identity of the deceased victim remains undisclosed to the public, pending notification from the next of kin.
