Lannie Cook and Miles Bartek Killed in Semi-Truck Crash on Interstate 35 [Gainesville, TX]
Two Pronounced Dead after Big-Rig Accident near Mile Marker 496
GAINESVILLE, TX (March 6, 2024) – Tuesday morning, Lannie Cook and Miles Bartek were killed in a semi-truck accident on Interstate 35.
Shortly before 1:00 a.m., officers received calls near mile marker 496.
Per reports, a semi-truck that was involved in a collision was stopped in the right northbound lane. Shortly after, Cook, who was driving a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta struck the semi-truck.
The impact ejected Cook and Bartek onto the road. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced 19-year-old Cook, of Sanger and 22-year-old Bartek, of Gainesville dead at the scene.
