Woman Pronounced Dead following Two-Vehicle Crash on Avenue 280 [Tulare County, CA]
27-Year-Old Woman Killed in Dual Car Collision near Road 148
TULARE COUNTY, CA (March 4, 2024) -Early Wednesday morning, a two-vehicle crash on Avenue 180 in Tulare County left a female driver dead.
The fatal collision occurred around 6:30 a.m. along Avenue 280, just west of Road 148 near Farmersville.
According to CHP, a 2014 Nissan made a U-turn directly into the path of an eastbound 2010 Chevrolet.
Consequently, the Chevrolet collided with the left side of the Nissan, leaving significant damage to both vehicles.
Despite the life-saving efforts of the paramedics, the 27-year-old woman driving the Nissan succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Investigators said the woman was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the collision.
Meanwhile, the 61-year-old Chevrolet driver from Visalia sustained minor injuries from the crash.
At this time, the CHP is working to determine whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the incident. Anyone with additional information regarding the fatal Avenue 280 two-vehicle crash is encouraged to contact Tulare County Officials as soon as possible.
