15-Year-Old Boy Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Crash near Skyline Avenue
BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 4, 2024) – Tuesday evening, Jacob Gonzalez was killed in a bicycle accident on River Road.
Authorities responded to the scene around 9:40 p.m., near Skyline Avenue.
Based on the initial investigation, the driver of a car hit two teens riding a makeshift gas-powered mini-bicycle. However, further circumstances leading up remain unclear.
Responding medical personnel transported the two teens to Kern Medical for treatment of major injuries. On Wednesday, one of the teens – identified as 15-year-old Jacob Gonzalez – succumbed to his injuries.
