18-Year-Old Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after Solo-Vehicle Collision on Camelback Road

PHOENIX, AZ (March 4, 2024) – Tuesday evening, Carrigan Jones was fatally injured in a motorcycle crash on 31st Avenue.

Authorities responded to the scene around 7:40 p.m., near Camelback Road on February 27th.

Investigators say Jones was riding a motorcycle west on Camelback Road and lost control for reasons unknown. The rider then slammed into a power pole, causing life-threatening injuries.

Medics arrived and pronounced 18-year-old Jones dead at the scene.

Following preliminary duties, police say speed was a contributing factor. Although, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
