61-Year-Old Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Accident on County Road 237
EASTLAND, TX (February 29, 2024) – Thursday afternoon, Mark Allen Jewett was killed in a motorcycle vs pickup-truck crash on FM 2214.
Officers responded to the scene around 4:58 p.m., near County Road 237.
According to reports, Terry Lee Rose was driving a 2024 Ford F-250 south on FM 2214 and failed to yield the right of a way to a motorcyclist that was turning. As a result, the pickup-truck collided with the 1985 Honda VT-700 motorcycle.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced 71-year-old Jewett, of Waseca, Minnesota dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, more details will be provided.
