72-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident near Whitepoint Road

LAREDO, TX (February 29, 2024) – Monday evening, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian collision on Conly Road.

Police responded to the 11900 block of Conly Road, near Whitepoint Road around 8:40 p.m., on February 12th.

Officers say the driver of a Ford F-350 pickup-truck struck a male pedestrian in the area. Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the 72-year-old man dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, more details will be provided.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information about the fatal pedestrian collision on Conly Road is still currently underway.
