One Fatally Struck in Single-Vehicle Accident near Douglas Road
RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (February 29, 2024) – Early Friday morning, one man was killed and two were hurt in a rollover crash on Grant Line Road.
The fatal incident happened around shortly before 4:30 a.m., between Douglas and White Rock Roads.
According to investigators, the driver overcorrected while traveling southbound. Subsequently, the vehicle rolled over the opposite side of the road.
Authorities suspect speed to be a factor in the incident but the investigation is currently ongoing.
Additionally, the crash caused the driver to be ejected from the vehicle, leaving him with fatal injuries. The deceased driver’s identity has not been disclosed to the public, pending notification from the next of kin.
Meanwhile, medical responders transported two of his passengers to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
In the end, the Sacramento County Officials closed Grant Line Road between Douglas Road and White Rock Road for investigation.
