Man Fatally Injured in Two-Vehicle Accident near Mile Post 29

EATONVILLE, WA (February 29, 2024) – Late Monday morning, one male driver was killed in a head-on accident on State Route 7.

The incident occurred just before 10:40 a.m., on the northbound lanes of the freeway near Mile Post 29 on February 12th.

Officers say the driver of a passenger vehicle was speeding in the wrong direction in the northbound lanes and collided head-on with a work van.

Furthermore, the driver of the vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries which later led to his death.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased victim. Meanwhile, the driver of the van sustained minor injuries and paramedics immediately transported him to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided about the fatal head-on accident on State Route 7.
