Two Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident near RC Poe Road
EL PASO COUNTY, TX (February 29, 2024) – Friday, Adrian James Gonzalez was arrested after a fatal hit-and-run collision on Turf Road.
Authorities responded to the scene around 10:00 a.m., at the 4600 block of Turf Road near RC Poe Road.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a vehicle veered off the road and struck a man and a woman who were walking on the shoulder.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the 34-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman dead at the scene.
Following preliminary duties, officers arrested 30-year-old Gonzalez for capital murder, assault causing bodily injury, and criminal mischief.
